Extended warranties are usually very inexpensive and can save you thousands in the future. Some can even cover extra costs that result, such as cost of food that spoils when your fridge dies. It's simple and inexpensive to purchase extended warranties and one of the smartest ways to protect your investment.

Appliances can be large, heavy, and expensive and you probably don't have the special tools or expertise needed to fix them in a crisis. If you can spare a few thousand dollars without batting an eyelash for new appliances should they break tomorrow, don't buy a warranty. But if you're like most of us, protect yourself by purchasing inexpensive extended warranties when you buy a new product and save yourself big money in the long run.

Professional delivery and installation is available for every product we sell. We would be happy to coordinate delivery and installation for you.

Dissapointing purchase

Submitted by Donna - 10/3/2017

I bought this dishwasher for my new construction home because I had a Kitchen Aid Dishwasher in my last house and loved it. The first problem is that it does not dry completely leaving water on the back and sides of the unit. The dishes always come out with an odor. I guess it's because they are not drying correctly. I have cleaned the filter several times and we have only had it since June. I also wipe the unit out after use which I feel should not be necessary. The clips to remove the third rack are flimsy, and one has already broken. The top rack does not fold down, making it very difficult to load items especially a coffee maker carafe. Overall the dishwasher does not seem roomy for a tall tub unit. I can't put my cookie sheets on the bottom rack because of this. My old Kitchen Aid was six years old when we sold our house, and was so much better made then this piece of junk. I could load all of my dishes, pots, pans, and cookie trays with no hassles, and it dried everything completely with no odor. I am so disappointed with this purchase!

Disappointing

Submitted by Sonia - 7/10/2017

I selected this panel ready dishwasher under the recommendation of the salesman at the appliance store that our builder uses. Things were disappointing from the get go. First of all in our old house we had a very basic dishwasher that builders put in but it worked. This dishwasher must have leakage from the top of the dishwasher because the finish on the custom panel has bubbled and is peeling in some areas. It also doesn't dry the dishes completely and this past weekend it decided to leak out of the corners. I happened to walk by the dishwasher on the way to the sink because I needed a drink of water to take my vitamins and I saw a puddle on both sides below the dishwasher.....and you know what else happened? My new cabinets on either of the dishwasher absorbed the water, swelled and separated. So now I have to find out if these customs cabinet can be fixed or if they have to be replaced. In the 19 years we lived in our other house we never once had these issues of leakage or not drying. I should have checked the reviews here before selecting this dishwasher.

New models perform poorer than old | Warantee not honored

Submitted by DSJ - 9/19/2016

The newer models are poorly designed and perform worse than the older models they are replacing - less capacity, noisier, poorer cleaning and drying performance. Here are the details that fit within the limited number of characters supplied by this site. We ordered the Kitchenaid ("KA") model KUDE70FVPA panel ready, integrated dishwasher in '11. This unit performed admirably until '16 when the touch panel began to malfunction. Fortunately, all electronic parts were still covered under the original KA warrantee. Unfortunately, KA decided to stop manufacturing the touch panels. A call from customer service said that, in consideration of the replacement part no longer being manufactured, KA would offer us a discount on a new replacement machine. So rather than having the performing machine fixed without cost to us under the terms of the original warrantee, we were now being offered the "option" to spend $750 for a new replacement. KA said that they would provide installation of the new machine and removal and disposal of the old machine, but would not uninstall and reinstall the custom panel. That would be at our own expense. When asked why KA would not provide no cost replacement, KA said that they could not provide a no cost replacement because the non-electronic parts of the machine were no longer under warrantee. But, I said, 1) it was KA's decision to discontinue manufacturing the module that controls the entirety of the unit prior to the end of the warrantee period and 2) how is that we get our unit to work at all without the control panel. No reasonable answer was provided. After weeks of negotiating, we got KA down to $320 for the new machine and they would pay to have an installer of our choice completely install the new machine. The new machine is terrible - doesn't clean well, doesn't dry the dishes, is noisy and has less capacity. In fact, we took the rack's from the old machine and used them in the new in order to get our dishes to fit. So disappointed!

My new dishwasher ?

Submitted by Nathalie - 9/16/2016

I love my dishwasher, I do not need to rinse or soak anything for the first time ever. The sound level is extremely low:) so I can run it and watch a movie and completely forgot that it is on.the panel was easy to install. The band in the bottom would be punted by my contractor to match the toe kick and voilą

I regret buying this dishwasher.

Submitted by BJB - 3/25/2016

Don't chose the dishwasher with the custom panel until you read this!! We recently had our kitchen remodeled, and as a result, bought all new appliances. I used a local appliance company, and when it came to the dishwasher, they recommended one with a custom panel to match my new cabinets. Stupidly, I said okay. There have been lots of problems with this choice. First, we had to find a handle which had to be specially ordered which took about two weeks. Second, we couldn't use the dishwasher without the handle-we couldn't even open it. Third, our cabinet maker made the cabinets first and the panel for the dishwasher last. So the panel for the dishwasher is ¾ shorter than the cabinets, and there is no way to correct this because the panel can't be lengthened (the door wouldn't open) and the custom cabinets can't be shortened. Fourth, KitchenAid provides no template for a hole in the panel to show the dishwasher cycle light. After a lengthy chat session with KitchenAid, I was told it was up to my cabinet maker to find and drill a hole. And lastly, my entire kitchen is white, grey and maple except for the bottom of the dishwasher which is five inches of black metal. I wish I had gone with an all white dishwasher.

Submitted by dar - 11/30/2015

I am really surprised that people would complain about not having the handle the whole purpose of picking the custom front is to have the handle and cabinet front match the rest of your cabinets and handles when I purchased my new kitchen I allowed for the custom door and handle for the dishwasher really happy with my dishwasher

Submitted by Belle - 10/20/2015

Had to replace my GE Monogram and was recommended to buy KitchenAid. Not real happy with the rack setup. Cannot even put large wine glasses even after adjusting top shelf as I could with GE. I feel the top flat rack is a waste of space. Removed it after first use.

My KitchenAid Dishwashers

Submitted by None - 10/12/2015

I have lived in McLean,VA; Philadelphia,PA and presently in Virginia Beach, VA. I have purchased KitchenAid dishwashers for each residence. I have used no other brand for over 30 years. I have been very happy with them in the past. First of all, I was very disappointed in the length of time it took to get the dishwasher after ordering it. The next item that I am not thrilled with is the necessity of using tablets or packs for detergent and the fact that I MUST use a drying agent and the length of time it takes to complete a cycle. In my other dishwashers, I used gel and rarely used a drying agent. The dishes came out just fine. The first time I used the new dishwasher,I tried using the gel (which was nearly a full bottle) and no rinse aid. At the end of the cycle, some of the gel was still in the dishwasher and the dishes were totally wet! The real problem that I do not like is there is no way I can tell when the cycle is finished. This is a panel ready dishwasher and there are no visible lights after the door is closed. It would certainly be helpful if KitchenAid had a light that would shine on the floor to indicate the complete cycle is finished.I do wish KitchenAid had that feature. On the positive side, I have only run the dishwasher twice and the second time, the dishes did come out clean and dry.

Missing handle?

Submitted by Wendy-O - 9/27/2015

We really expected this dishwasher to come with a handle and a hose adapter. It is very difficult to open without a handle and it appears there is one option - a stainless handle. Therefore, the handle should have come with the dishwasher.

Great dishwasher

Submitted by Dishpanhandless - 9/16/2015

I replaced my previous Kitchenaid dishwasher after 10 years with this one and am amazed at how quiet it is. I didn't think it was working because it was so quiet. Great job cleaning. I use the Proscrub setting. Only complaint is that I was able to get more dishes in my previous Kitchenaid because the racking was different.

illogical controls, not worth the money

Submitted by port tack - 9/16/2015

We bought this dishwasher primarily because we wanted a dishwash that would accept a custom panel so the front would match the cabinets. While the machine is very quiet, it does not clean the dishes any better than our old one that cost half as much. There are 19 indicator lights on top of the door to "follow the progress of the dishwasher cycle", you can't see them with the door closed unless you bend over to see the reflection of the lights on underside of the counter top, assuming you have memorized the layout of those 19 different lights. One of those control buttons is to add a dish. but inorder to push that button you have to open the door, just as if you were going to add a dish. The controls are quite illogical. There is no 800 number for customer service, for complete instructions of the machine you have to go online.

Panel Ready

Submitted by Anita - 6/25/2015

Love the way the custom panel looks. So glad KitchenAid makes a panel-ready for those of us that like that look. I haven't used it many times yet, but it worked fab. when I did. So very guiet. My only suggestion would be that they put a light on bottom to let us know that the machine is still operation as other mfgr's have done.

Large Capacity

Submitted by Barrylu - 6/23/2015

This machine is a large capacity dish washer. I was afraid that because of it's large capacity it would not be as efficient in getting thedishes as clean as machines with less capacity. Dishes hawever come clean easily. Machine makes little noise. It does an excellent job on silverware with it's new top shelf

Where is the Cut Out Specs for the Panel

Submitted by Beth - 6/11/2015

I have been searching for the panel cutout for this dishwasher for days. I have called Kitchenaid customer service twice and both times, both Representatives told me they would email them to me since they were not on your website. I never got the cut outs specs for my cabinet maker. This was frustrating. You should have it on your website so I didn't have to waste hours on the phone for nothing. I love kithenaid dishwashers.
